Everything’s a little cooler if it’s … little. So, logically, Porsche and Hedley Studios have created a strictly limited mini-version of the legendary 550 Spyder.

To be fair, the Porsche 550 Spyder was always small, nimble, lightweight, and agile—qualities that made it wildly successful in racing and highly sought-after on the collector's market. Commemorating the 75-year jubilee of Porsche Motorsport, the German sports car brand and Hedley Studios decided to take the legacy of the "Little Bastard"—as James Dean famously called it—even further, recently unveiling the Porsche 550 J: an exclusive collector's item limited to just 250 units worldwide.
The J stands for "Junior," but this newly developed machine is anything but a simple toy. Handcrafted by Hedley Studios, it measures approximately 2.9 meters in length and 1.2 meters in width—around 80 percent the size of the original car—and accommodates up to two lucky passengers. Powered by a fully electric 48-volt drivetrain producing roughly 8 kW in standard specification and up to 16 kW with the RS Package, its top speed tops out at around 80 km/h (50 mph). It's definitely not the fastest Porsche ever built … but surely the most convenient way to commute between the warehouses of your exotics collection.
