Some call Munich the northernmost city of Italy—right at the gates of the Alps, sun-kissed and flavored with just the right amount of Dolce Vita. Rightfully so. On this September 22nd, that was truer than ever: at the iconic fine-dining spot Marks Feinkost, the most elite collector cars, one-offs, and design studies gathered once again for the fourth edition of "Marks and Cars." This time, the secret and ultra-exclusive event followed the theme of "Autobahn to Autostrada," celebrating German engineering and Italian emotion alike.
The insane automotive menu ranged from multimillion-dollar masterpieces to priceless one-offs, all gathered under the open sky – not locked away in a hidden vault. Marks and Classic Driver called, and they all came: Mercedes brought the C111 Prototype and the record breaking AMG GT XX, Audi arrived in style with the brand new Nuvolari and the incredible Lucca one-off, while Porsche decided to showcase the seldom-seen Polizei-911 and one of ist 918 Spyders, all rounded out by the iconic Ferrari F40, Lamborghini Diablo SV and a modern Ferrari Daytona SP3.
This time, the secret and ultra-exclusive event followed the theme of "Autobahn to Autostrada," celebrating German engineering and Italian emotion alike.
Even more fascinating than the extraordinary, once-in-a-lifetime gathering of machines was the lineup of individuals celebrating the culture. Hosted by Joko Winterscheid, the event welcomed Design Legends as Harm Lagaay, Porsche Germany CEO Bastian Schramm, and photographer Stephan bauer. Also joining were other leading figures and car designers from the European industryTo top it off, the weather decided to deliver a proper German-Italian holiday: sunshine all day long, blessing high-profile guests and passionate enthusiasts alike.
And us? We listened, indulged, and soaked it all in. We already can’t wait for the next edition and its unique theme, bringing together the most incredible hypercars, racing machines, and one-offs. But first, coffee.
