Yacht Masters

Location: Cannes, France

They say money can’t buy happiness. We say: Ever seen someone sad on a yacht? No, us neither. So the hotspot for meeting happy people is the French Riviera at the moment, because Cannes is currently hosting Europe's leading in-water boat show, transforming the iconic Vieux Port and Port Canto into a sprawling showcase of nautical excellence. For its 49th edition, the festival has assembled an impressive multibillion-dollar fleet of 700 vessels, ranging from nimble five-meter boats to imposing 55-meter superyachts. In short: Come to Cannes to experience the absolute pinnacle of maritime design and lifestyle.

The show is smartly divided to cater to distinct cruising tastes. Over at the Vieux Port, the focus is exclusively on motor yachting, featuring sleek new builds measuring up to 50 meters in length. Meanwhile, Port Canto serves as a multifaceted hub, housing 120 new sailing yachts alongside a dedicated Toys Area filled with electric surfboards and submersibles designed to extend the on-water experience.

The true draw, however, is the slate of almost 150 world premieres presented directly in the water. Highly anticipated debuts include the nearly 40-meter ISA Viper 130 superyacht designed by Fulvio De Simoni, and the Azimut Magellano 27M, which marks designer Michele De Lucchi's first maritime collaboration.

Beyond sheer size and opulence, the industry is also actively looking ahead. The festival's dedicated Innovation Route highlights 47 pioneering projects focused on sustainable solutions, advanced navigation technologies, and forward-thinking boat design. So whatever you prefer: The Cannes Yachting Festival is making waves.
