Welcome to Pagani Grandi Complicazioni, the secret one-off and few-off division in San Cesario sul Panaro, Italy, where Pagani’s most exclusive bespoke hypercars are born. Lorenzo, Head of Grandi Complicazioni, gives us an all-access tour of the Pagani factory and shows us something even he says is “a world first”: the Pagani Huayra Codalunga Coupe AND the Codalunga Speedster in one place. In this video you’ll discover a paint finish with real diamond dust inside—it takes about 4 months to paint just one car.
On top of that, you’ll find out why the Codalunga is 36 cm longer than a standard Huayra Coupe, and why that dimension matters so much. And would you happen to know what the single biggest carbon fiber part is that Pagani has ever produced? Wait until you see it.
We also discover how a 1960s Le Mans legend inspired the whole long-tail project, alongside a pretty crazy fuel cap that made us say “that’s insane.” You’ll understand when you hear the story. Speaking of insane: By the end, we find ourselves in the passenger seat of the first and only Codalunga Coupe prototype: a twin-turbo V12 pushing 840 hp, 1,100 Nm of torque, and a body “sculpted by the wind” with no rear wing. What’s it like when it finally opens up? Watch until the end.
