Redefining luxury in the deserts of the Middle East? Quite the challenge. But actually achievable, if you’re automotive designer Lavinia Khalil – who created OQTA for that exact reason. Her radically luxurious build really takes the iconic G-Class foundation into the realm of high art: the bespoke carbon-fiber body now sits 20 centimeters higher compared to the base model.
Elevated are also the aesthetics, which feel more influenced by luxury accessories than classical car culture: CNC-milled rims meet an illuminated spare wheel, leather straps on the exterior, and a genuine marble plate in the trunk—specifically chosen because the material resists the intense heat of Gulf countries.
The marble-like interior in the cabin, in turn, was meticulously hand-painted by a traditional church painter, saving weight and ensuring safety, while the other surfaces are wrapped in specially developed, heat-resistant leather. And if you feel like hunting – apart from small cars on the road – you will also find a dedicated falcon perch in the OQTA. Born from a client's passion, it allows the valued bird to sit safely during the ride and fly directly out of the open roof when the hunt in the desert begins.
Boasting 800 horsepower and 1,000 Nm of torque, this €1.3 million off-roader doesn't just ride—it haunts the road. And conquers the desert, too, if you desire.
