The vehicles

Most of the vehicles from which we make unique works of art in our studio near Würzburg are already unique anyway. Whether classic cars, racing cars, collector’s items, supercars or hypercars, many vehicles have already been positioned under our camera. Even vehicles of famous personalities, such as Walter Röhrl or Niki Lauda, we have already transformed into works of art. If you are interested in models that we do not yet offer in our store, do not hesitate to contact us, that if necessary we will organize a shooting of your personal dream car and your vehicle will be transformed into a work of art.

The photo

It’s not just a photo of your car, it’s high-end photography in HD from a very special perspective: from above! The play of light, shadow and shapes is the challenge for our photographer to make each car a real ONE-OFF gallery picture. The car color forms a symbiosis with the color of the ground – and in the same shade – making contours and design more visible.

The artwork

The high-gloss, high-resolution photographic print is created through traditional exposure on real photographic paper. Mounted on an aluminum composite plate and finally connected with a high-gloss acrylic glass plate, the photo print unfolds its full effect and color brilliance. Through this process, our murals are particularly high quality and durable. Circumferentially, each Edition ONE-OFF mural is encased in an elegant shadow gap in matte black. A stable rail system is located on the back of the mural and thus guarantees a secure wall mounting. Each vehicle is available in three standard limited edition formats. Selected vehicles or your own are also available in oversized formats as a unique piece and with their almost two and a half meters unique.

Exklusiver Partner: White Wall

Production

Each artwork of Edition ONE-OFF is lovingly handcrafted and produced with the best quality by WhiteWall. The photo lab combines state-of-the-art production techniques with traditional handwork and has won the international TIPA award for outstanding gallery quality several times. In the in-house frame manufactory, each frame is handmade with attention to detail and all images are carefully checked before they are shipped to our customers.

Limited & Handsigned

Like most vehicles we photograph, our art is strictly limited. Precisely because it is possible to reproduce photographs as many times as you like, it is important to guarantee the value of the artwork. Thus, each mural is limited to ten pieces per format, which significantly increases the value on the art market. To ensure the originality of the artwork, there is a certificate with the artist’s handwritten signature on the back of each mural. On this “Certificate of Authenticity” are also all the relevant data such as the car model, the color value of the vehicle, the sequential number of the total edition, the day on which the car was shot, the printing date and, of course, the signature of our photographer.

The photographer

He is a master photographer, but he is above all a photographic artist. Horst Klement has been working with the camera since 1984. First classically in portrait and people it drew him then into the advertisement. Since the founding of Edition ONE-OFF, he has been the man at the shutter release. But not only there: He and his helpers lovingly take care of the sensitive care and preparation of the delivered vehicles. The alignment at the photo set, including the time-consuming illumination, are absolutely necessary preparatory measures before the shot is taken from a height of more than six meters. The fraction of a second in our HD camera is the trigger for a unique shot.

The studio

At a height of over seven meters, we have positioned our medium-format camera (150 mega pixels) – directly under the roof. By radio we shoot completely automatically the vehicles, which were thoroughly cleaned and meticulously positioned here before. Huge sails, made by us, serve as diffusers. Black fabric panels also absorb reflections from the side and above. Once the vehicle has been photographed, the work really begins: Postproduction on the screen takes many hours to process the last impurities, reflections or details that cannot be fully displayed.
